PwC and Cohere will combine consulting and enterprise AI products to help clients deploy governed systems, beginning with Canadian organizations.
PwC and Cohere announced a global alliance on October 5, with Canada as its starting market. The companies plan to help organizations move AI projects from pilot stages into production, combining Cohere’s enterprise AI platform and models with PwC’s consulting, technology, risk and regulatory expertise. The announcement targets businesses that need to connect AI systems to internal information while meeting security, privacy and data-residency requirements.
Under the partnership, Cohere will provide its North agentic AI platform, models and search and retrieval capabilities. PwC says it will work with clients to select potential use cases, assess risks and regulations, redesign workflows, establish governance and connect AI tools to company data and systems. The organizations name enterprise search, knowledge access, research, decision support and task automation as potential applications. They also describe private-cloud, on-premises and air-gapped deployment options for clients that need greater control over infrastructure and sensitive data.
The partnership addresses a common enterprise hurdle: a working demonstration does not automatically translate into a secure, accountable service used across an organization. Integrating AI into existing systems requires choices about what tasks to automate, where human review remains necessary and how performance and responsibility will be measured. PwC and Cohere say they intend to support that implementation work as well as the underlying technology. The announcement does not disclose financial terms, named customer deployments or targets for adoption, so its immediate significance is the planned go-to-market and delivery arrangement rather than evidence of results at scale. Its initial Canadian focus may provide a first test of how the companies combine sovereign deployment options with consulting services for regulated organizations.
