OpenAI and Google Cloud announced a partnership to bring OpenAI models and Codex workflows to Model Garden, with general availability planned in coming weeks.
OpenAI and Google Cloud announced on October 21, 2026, that OpenAI’s models and Codex workflows are planned for Google Cloud’s Model Garden. The companies say the integration will let cloud customers access the models within Google Cloud and use them for enterprise and agent-based applications.
Customers are expected to purchase the models through Google Cloud Marketplace. Organizations with existing Google Cloud spending commitments will be able to apply those commitments to purchases, according to OpenAI. The announcement does not identify specific models, prices or service limits for the planned offering.
OpenAI says the integration will combine its models with Google Cloud infrastructure, access controls and centralized data governance. The companies point to software development and agentic workflows as potential uses, including workloads at organizations that need controls over access to sensitive data. OpenAI models are also expected to become available in Google Antigravity and Gemini Agent, though the announcement gives no separate launch date for those integrations.
General availability through Google Cloud is planned in the coming weeks; the announcement does not say the service is available yet. That timing means enterprises will need to wait for rollout details before evaluating the offering in production. Google Cloud customers will have another way to discover and use OpenAI models alongside services in their existing cloud environment.
OpenAI President and co-founder Greg Brockman described the agreement as a way to make the company’s models and Codex available where customers already build. Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said the partnership would add model choice for customers. OpenAI also stated that Microsoft remains its primary cloud partner, so the Google Cloud arrangement does not replace that relationship.
